I feel as through i don't have any power when I hit the gas pedal

this sounds like a bad sparkplug wires or a coil pack, i would start with a tune up first and go from there, the most common problem of this sort i see is the car is in need of a tune up, some times it ends up also needing a coil pack, the coil pack is the part that the sparkplug wire hook to.

Doesn't start right away you have to keep your foot on gas

I would recommend a tune up new spark plugs wires and some new gas and a new fuel filter. If that helps how it runs change the oil and filter and check all the fluids.

Reset oil change

TURN IGNITION KEY TO ON POSITION THEN BACK TO OFF 3 TIMES 3RD TIME LEAVE IT IN ON POSITON THEN DEPRESS GAS PETAL TO FLOOR 3 TIMES. TURN KEY OFF SHOULD BE RESET

On my 2005 impala you turn the ignition on and turn the radio off. Push down the tune nob until settings is displayed on the radio. Push the seek button until you see oil life. Push the next button on the radio until you see the word reset then push the tune nob again. this will reset the oil timer on the car and change oil light should turn off.
