I'm not too sure but my family asked me if my car needed a service when the wrench appeared where the mileage usually is. The milage since the last one would say so.

Why does my 2005 Uplander all of a sudden have only 2nd and reverse gears?

Do you have any lights lit on the dash ? check engine , a yellow wrench, service vehicle soon etc.. These transmissions are electronically controlled ,electric solenoids inside controlled by the powertrain control module ! There is nothing you can do if you don't now about these things , take it to a shop who does ! ASE certified preferable !

Replace front O2 sensor

22mm wrench or O2 Sensor Wrench or Socket

Depends on the vehicle & location

Even look for it or use the internet for
info & a picture

Parts have to have a reason to need replacing

OBD Codes & Dash MIL Lamp, is NOT a reason,
if your not going to do any testing, to find a reason
for fault codes.

I replace NOTHING until tested & fail a test

Why would you ?

As you learn over time, there are items that
are included in Preventative Maintenance

Your oxygen sensors are one of those
They go at 100,000 miles
They are going to fail anyway & slow down, as far
as switching times go & lose proper fuel control

Obd connector picture

Here is a picture of a ODB II port. They are usually located under the dash on the drivers side but on a few vehicles they could be found inside behind fold down panel on passenger side or in the glove box.

Why does a wrench sign appear on the dashboard

I hate to be the one to break the news

Those dash lights first came on ALL vehicles
in 1981 & then 1983 that is some 32 model years

On a Ford if you read your owners manual the
Wrench is a MIL Lamp (OBD2 Malfunction Indicator
Lamp) OBD1 (1981 thru 1995) OBD2 (1996 thru 2013)

You check for codes
Use the codes to direct you to a system
Then component test

Only replace parts if they fail a test

Codes do not tell you what is wrong
or to replace anything

Google any codes you get

You have a vehicle system failure

You check for codes the same or next day you
get ANY Dash lights

Make repair within a week or in some cases
stop using until you can arrange a repair

Orange wrench light in the dash warning lights is on. What does that indicate?

That light indicates that your vehicle requires maintenance. On GM vehicles, this light comes on if the computer has found that the vehicle is in need of an oil change. When did you last change your oil?
