I just picked up an 02 Jeep Liberty. The blower fan wasn't working so I took a look. Found the power plug to the blower unplugged. Plugged it in and still blower didn't work.

The control provides ground to the motor through the resistor, so you cannot connect the negative blower terminal to ground-it has to go to the resistor. Put it back that way and let us know if there are still issues.

I have a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. Recently the front blower fan began to work intermittently. Sometimes it would work only on high, sometimes any speed, sometimes only when the rear blower was off. Now...

I think your headed in the right direction. At the front blower motor, the black wire is voltage and the dark green wire ground. As you can see the thermal fuse and resisters are on the ground circuit for blower motor , the speed controls are also on the ground circuit. Any motor that uses brushes, sometimes you can tap on the blower housing and it starts running, or driving down the road and you hit a bump and it takes off. Your jumper wires should have worked, in my opinion. If you wired it up backwards, I don't know if blower motor would run backwards, I never tried it. In the past, with faulty blower motors, I took it apart and looked at the brushes, wore down to the nub.

I have a 2001 jeep grand cherokee. The AC blower just stopped one day. My husband took the blower off and connected it directly to the battery and the blower worked. Could we have a short somewhere?

Check resistor block . He'll find it where connector was plugged in under dash or near it. Quite often when resistor goes, you'll get only high fan for a while, then nothing. He can check for incoming voltage to that resistor as well. Normally will be a 2" x 3" roughly with connectors sticking out and held in with 2 small screws into duct work area.

Fans on 1999 pontiac grand am will not come on. Have checked fuses and they are fine. No wires seem to be cut or lose. help please.

check your fan motors unplug the wires in the back of the motor take 2 wires from the battery one positive one negitive to the plug on the actual motor connect the power direct you cant di it wrong it will only go backwards so your taking the power from the battery directly to the fans see if they work.remember 2 wires 1 from the positive to the fan plug connect to 1 prong. other from the negitive to the other prong fans will kick on if there good.if there good plug back in as b 4,make sure your temp gauge is working, fuses, relays

Intermitent fan problem with 1997 Mercedes E320

HI, disconnect the wiring at the blower motor, connect a positive and negative directly from the battery, if the blower works everytime you connect direct power, the problem is somewhere else.
