Bulb is bad. Take a pair of pliers, wrapped in a soft cloth and pull the fan speed knob out. It's tight, but will come out. You will be able to see the small bulb in the center of the hole you just removed the knob from. Wrap a needle nose plier in paper towel and gently pull the bulb straight out. Be careful not to break the bulb. New bulb from volkswagen is $3. Gently push the new bulb all the way back in. Re-install the knob.

!997 Dodge B2500 3.9L- What controls the vacuum TO the ac/heater climate control switch in the dash?

The switch that controls this is the vacuum mode switch and it is in the heater control panel on the dash.

Heater wont turn off. ac wont stay on

Sounds like either a blend door actuator fault, or a climate control head fault. Either way, you may have to get deep into the dash for repairs.

Hope it helps. Good Luck!

Ac problem

I just fixed mine. same problem, no ac light no fan. inside the heater control assembly there is a electric wiper arm on the fan switch. This arm connects all power for fan and ac. Mine broke out of the fan control switch. Dash is not too much problem to get out. Have to pull top dash center section out by puching forward and lifting out. pull all screws on center dash counsel. remove radio, two side covers that hide screwsand lower trim that holds emergency flasher switch. remove cables from heater control and wires and remove. Took me about an hour. The code on radio will need to be reset so make sure you have that handy. Hope this helps..

96 4Runner - Help with Dash lights

You need to replace the bulbs behind the heater control. The bulbs have rather large filaments, and hitting the control sometimes makes the filaments "weld themselves" back together for a short time. I would not suspect a short or a loose wire.

Lights and heater

Alot could have happened when you pulled off the dash try these:
1. Make sure that all of the wires are connected to the speedo and heater/ac dials are connected
2. The most possible solution is that you blew a fuse check the under the dash fuse box and make sure the appropriate fuse isn't blown.
3. Make sure the wire that goes to your interior light dimmer switch is plugged up correctly.

Lets see how that works good luck!
