03 Dodge Stratus Doesn't Want to Get Up and Go

When the weather gets cold, I have to let my 03 Stratus run for a very long time before it will slip into gear. Even after that, sometimes I put it into drive or reverse and sits idle like it is in neutral. It will finally slip into gear and be okay. Then after getting up speed, and having to brake, it will **** pretty hard. What could be the problem

How do i roll up the driver side window on a 03 dodge stratus when switch is bad

a temporary solution, will keep out the weather, until you can get the window fixed. take inside door panel off, remove electric window motor, being carful to not let window drop, pull window all the way up, securing with tape(duct, packing, etc....), reinstall motor. there is not a lot of room as you will be reaching through the holes in the inner door skin. be careful & have a lot of patients.

2004 Dodge Stratus stalling

Be certain your cooling fan is coming on when the engine starts to get warm. If it is, then the most likely thing is the thermostat is sticking (either not working or only opening partially). Just follow the big hose from the radiator that goes to the top of the engine. It connects to the thermostat. They are cheap and easy to replace -- so, if it was me, I'd just go ahead and replace it. If it doesn't fix the problem, at least it rules out a big contender and there is value in that.

Valve body in the bottom of the transmission has valves that ware out and the oil is thick when it is cold and when the oil gets hot it gets around the ***** out valves thus shifting back in to first could be the 2-1 downshift valve.

I dont think you need a engine rebuild. Have him test the ignition system, basic tune up, also have him check the fuel pressure when cold and hot compare them.

Your coolant sensor may be stuck in advanced timing mode. Change it & the engine will start easy in cold & warm weather. The sensor is located near the thermostat housing. Remove the electrical connector & unscrew the sensor. Replace but do not over tighten, 5ft. lbs. Top off any antifreese loss. Good luck!
