Gas cap light keeps coming on. I have tried to get it working again but no luck.

Was that also buying a NEW GAS CAP? the gas system work on a PURGE valve system, some times the problem is the purge valve located on top of the engine. I would try the Gas cap first before the $30.01 Purge valve. follow the light indicator.

Low fuel light

If your model has a low fuel warning light, it would be a symbol of a gas pump and be near the gas gauge. The light is connected to the fuel gauge sending unit in the tank.
