I,ve lost my keys for my 98 ford escort wagon the manual says its key coded and i don't have a master key what are my options

I assume that you have already checked inside the owners manual package for the code, or a key tag.

A Ford Dealership should be able to help you. They will want specific information about the car and you will have to provide proof of ownership of the car.

This will probably cost $300-$400. Making a spare key before you lose them is always much cheaper.

I don't know what is your car model and year, so I just can recommend you the Toyota Camry key 3 button 315MHZ.

Spare tire needs a key? What if I don't know where it is?

If you lost the key to spare there are ways to remove it, most use a key like on the wheels and the key is the same, and then so use a key like a house key or the cars key is used sometimes to remove a cover type lock, try these then first if that doesnt work then any garage or tire place should be able to remove it. we do this all the time. good day.

Engine turns over, stalls out and alarm goes off

These vehicles use Fords Securilock transponder system to prevent vehicle theft. Basically, there is a little radio chip in the key that transmits a code to the computer when you start the car. If this code doesn't match the computer, the computer disables fuel and spark so the engine won't run. If you have a spare key, try that to see if it works. If it doesn't work, then the Securilock system needs service. Unfortunately only the dealer can service this system because it is integrated into the vehicle computer.

If your spare key works, then the key you tried to use has a damaged transponder and the key needs to be replaced. If you don't have a spare key, contact a locksmith and have them make you a new key. I have to warn you, transponder keys are not cheap. They can cost easily $75 and some even go for $150. But, that is probably cheaper then having Ford make one and even if the spare doesn't work, when you get the system fixed by the dealer they can program your spare key as well so you don't waste the money on the key.

Lost master keys for 2003 toyota corolla

Yes, if the copy set works than you can duplicate them, However if you lost your Key FOB you will have to go to a dealer. Looks like you would simply like to have a spare set, in which you can just duplicate your copy keys. These keys don't have a Resistor pill pellet or any type of anti-theft in them so it would be the same price as your copy keys were. Don't lose your only set.

HONDA ACCORD 1996 KEY IMMOBILSER PROBLEM: I LOCKED MY KEY IN THE TRUNK AND I WENT FOR THE SPARE KEYS, I INSERTED THE RED AND THE KEY SECURITY LIGHTS JUST KEPT BLINKING RAPIDLY BUT WONT START. I PUT THE...

Is this a security feature that comes with the alarm? because i only that certain cars above 00 can do this. but what might have happened, the old one got damaged some how, and even if its little, it could be enough to not let the key turn in the ignition, or any where in the car. i suggest taking the good key, and making a spare. if it was the alarm, like an alarm feature, you can probably take it to where it was programed, and getting the key reprogrammed. Or you can also just disconnect the battery for like a couple of minutes, and reconnect it so the alarm or security feature will reset. hope this helps, goodluck.
