My chevy astro van doesn't want to start it make the sound like it want to start but it does't like it does't have enough power to start

Check ignition switch for power.

shift 1/2 or shift 2/1 solenoid is going bad possibly !!

Sounds to me like the ole lousy crimp connector on the end of a wire. When cold the crimp is good enough to work, but as it warms the crimp looses its grip a tad and things start to go down hill. Find feeds to fuse box and solder any wire crimps to get a good connection. Had this happen on a new chevy starter, same complaint.

Check for power on the small purple wire at the starter with the key in the crank position. If here is no power you will need to trace that circuit to see if its the neutral safety switch, ignition switch, or wiring in between.

Had the same issue with our 1999 chevy astro van, would crank but would not start. It had been raining and windshield had a leak, after 2 days of no rain it started. Pulled codes and was the Security system in the ignition switch. Hope this helps.

there is no relay power from control panel through pressure switchs to compressor

crank shaft sen. is easy enough to change.its mounted near timing chain cover,cam sen.is somewhat harder,its in the distributor,id doubt that both are defect

Check to see if the fuel pump is kicking in,
when you turn the key on without starting the van you should hear it kick on for about 2 seconds,

It could be...
A clogged fuel filter...
Blown fuse for the pump..or bad pump relay..
No gas
Bad fuel pump

Sounds like the auto shut down relay. Located somewhere in the front grille/bumper area. Relay triggers on impact to shut down all power in order to prevent fires etc. Great idea but can cause exactly the frustration you are having if you don't know it's there!!
