Check for loose connector particularly the crankshaft sensor near the engine drive pulley.or fuel impact switch tripping but this is not a PATS problem since the starter cranks.

1997 Ford F150 5.4L V8 engine wont' start after new battery put in. Alternator or Starter?

If it jump starts, the starter is good.
You need to check the voltage at the battery with the engine running (after disconnecting jumper cables) to see if the alternator is bad. Voltage should be at least 14vdc.
You can also remove the alternator at home and have it tested at your local car parts store.Always disconnect the negative battery cable before removing the alternator.
