Question about 1999 GMC Suburban
95 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L: Has been sitting for about 6 months...started occasionally. In Dec 2009, fuel was getting dumped into 2 cylinders from bad computer. Replaced computer fixed that problem, and it runs and sounds fine until it gets good and warm...now there's a tapping that progressively gets louder, and oil pressure drops to zero after being drive. Oil pressure sending unit replaced, but it stills drops when hot. It sounds great when first started, but gets louder when hot. It's like it's being oil starved. When I had the distributor replaced, the mechanic said the base was dry...no oil at shaft bottom. Could this be a blocked screen or bad oil pump?
