My oil light came on under heavy breaking. I then

My oil light came on under heavy breaking. I then checked the oil and there was none on the dipstick. I just bought this car from the toyota dealership 1 month ago and it says that the oil was changed 400 miles ago.
I put in 2 quarts of oil and it still won't show up on the dipstick.

HOW MUCH OIL DO I HAVE TO PUT IN THIS HIGHLANDER?!?

I show the capacity as 6.5 quarts, but owners report that 7.0 quarts with a filter change leave the level right at the top of the dipstick. Hope this helps.

The plug wires on this model year and prone to burn through, replace them all, do one at a time and always put them back in the factory wire looms they run through, that is very important, replace any you may break. Use high qyuailty oplug wuires foractory parts are preferred..

Yes but the spider is under the manifold... Pull your oil dipstick, if your oil smells heavy of gas, then the spider is busted. If not. check the big plug on top/center of your engine for dirt/moisture

Just bought a 1998 honda prelude 2.2l auto and would like to find out what is the recommended weight of oil

personally,i prefer castrol 30 weight with a fram oil filter.castrol oil is non detergent,no sludgy build up in valve covers after years of use. fram filters do not break down or fold up under pressure.been doing this for 20 years and no problems with oil or filters yet.in summer time you can move up to 40 weight oil no problem! in winter 30 weight so the oil will not be so heavy!good luck!thank you for choosing fixya.com

Rear brake light are not working checked fuse under hood and passenger side dash could not find fuse by brake pedal

It could possibly be the actual switch that sits behind the break pedal. When the break pedal depresses or presses into the switch, the break lights go on or off. Not sure how much they run, but really easy to change. You could also check the switch with an ohm meter if available by making sure it breaks or runs continuity through the terminals when the switch is pressed/released. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Gauges do not work 1998 s10 4x4 ignition on all dash lights work truck starts and runs good but no oil pressure fuel level volts(although it is charging) fuses are good why is none of the engine monitoring...

Follow the wires to the firewall on both sides of the wall. Make sure none are soft or pliable, as well as burnt (obviously). There could be a short in these wires. Also, check the monitors on the motor itself. If you have had a heavy rain or snow, and they got wet, they could have been damaged.

I have a 2002 Maxima 6 Speed Manual Trans. Under Heavy Acceleration the check engine light blinks several times and then goes off and stays off during normal driving. The light seems to come on as I hit...

U have an ignition related problem, have the system tested for the trouble code that is stored in memory any time the check engine light comes on to determine what is causing this issue. check engine lights have nothing to do with oil level or pressure, they indicate electronic control problems with the engine, trans or emission system.

What kind of motor oil use synthetic or regular ?

for most people the cost of synthetic is not worth the benefits, it does provide longer engine life and when towing a heavy load such as a boat, it can be a much better choice because it doesn't break down like reg oil under very high temps. so if you tow allot use the syn.
