Question about Audi A4
I had the same problem with my car, turned out it was the receiver in the ignition barrel (to say it was the right key) that was faulty.
My car would start then stop immediatly, as it would think it was being stolen as it didn't have the right key. Would still start sometimes tho as the imobaliser wasn't working properly.
Hope this helps.

It might be your fuel pump? try turning on your ignition but do not turn it over, just listen for a humming noise from your car, its should last about 20 seconds or so, if you hear it, its ok fuel pump ok, if you dont, you might have a faulty fuel pump, but it still could be lots of things, but you could try that its a start, sorry not much help
