Car shakes while driving

I replaced my brakes a few years ago and my car began to shake.at first i thought it might be a rotor but i have replaced both rotors then i thought it was the half shaft on the drivers side so i replaced it. i replaced the two front tires still did not fix the problem, a friend suggested that i replace the wheel bearings but i cant tell which side or even if that is the problem and bearings are 53.00 each side and i dont want to buy and replaced both sides of i dont have too

When stoping steering wheel shakes

Have your front brake rotor's cut or replace, there warp that why it shakes at stops. If your going to have them cut make sure they mic them, if to thin, they will warp again.

I AM BUYING A 2002 SUZUKI ESTEEM IT SEEMS TO HAVE WARPED FRONT ROTORS AS THE steering wheel shakes when brake is applied at higher speeds. No shaking or vibration while driving. Couls this be something...

Overheating is the cause for the warp. Most cases a rotor gets warped when it's constantly gets overheated from driving habits. Like constantly stopping at the last minute, driving downhill in slow traffic, and etc. Or, possibility it could be just cheap low grade rotors. Plus, the wrong type of brake shoe can play a part by causing high heat friction.

The best advice is to take the car to have it inspected by a shop before you buy it. There maybe some unforeseen problems ahead. Better safe than sorry.

Frontend shakes when braking, sometimes - have

The actual disc rotors have warped with heat (eg, driving with foot lightly on brake pedal). Easy fix, take it to a brake shop and get them to true the rotors. In New Zealand, we have guys that come to you to do it but essentially, they use a lathe and trim disc provided it doesn't go below manufacturers specs for thickness.

Shake in steering wheel

I believe you need your disk brake rotors turned to be true again or have them replaced. Whe you use your brakes a lot and kit puddles of cold water then it will warp the rotors which will cause the violent shaking. You may not feel it in the brake pedal even if it is warped rotors. If you don't think you have warped rotors then you should be very careful driving it because it will probably be in the steering sector arm or the idler arm on the steering shaft.
