Question about 1998 Subaru Forester
I just purchased a used 1998 Subaru Forester (automatic). It's the best car I have driven (so far), but after a hard brake, the check engine light came on. It came on once before but went off when I brought it to get inspected (I assume it was the gas cap issue). It has not yet shut off but the car is fine. Oil and filter was just done last month and has another 2,000 miles to go, has new head gaskets, timing belt, new coolant, trans fluid, rear brakes and rotors. Any suggestions?
Have a parts store or mechanic, some do it for free, put the OBD scanner on and tell you what the computer is saying is wrong. Good luck and have a great day.
