Here are some of the things that will cause the transfer case to jump out of out of 4wd.A worn out front drive clutch sleeve, worn out reduction clutch sleeve, worn out reduction clutch hub,or a drive sprocket clutching teeth. These parts are all located in the transfer case.I checked to see if there were any bulletins on this for your vehicle and did not find any.Hope this helps.Good luck.Let me know if you need more help.
More than likely its the actutor it self the do get tired also check voltage to it and clean chassis grounds that may help Thunderboltz
Check the 4wd moter at transfer case. For power in and power out, also
check the 4wd switch, on top of the transfer case for power. Make sure
the output shaft is turning into the differential. If it is use an oil filter
wrench to remove the front hub cover. Check for any grease buildup or
anything that might obstruct the axel from sliding all the way into the hub gear. The best way to check these is to have it in the air (all 4 wheels) this way you can hear and see if it's the transfer case or the
front axel kicking out. I hope I was of some help. Good luck.
