Question about 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Door wiring silverado

The wiring for my 2003 silverado door lights are blue and red. When I checked the wiring coming out of the doors (did not remove door panel), there are no matching colours. Anybody know where I can find a wiring diagram for the door, or what colours those little blue and white wires changed to along the way???

I own a 2003 f-150 heritage edition The windows worked just fine this morning I go to role them up tonight they will not work. I checked every fuse none bad. They light up and locks and power mirror...


Check the power to the power window switch on the driver's side.

Std & SuperCab Engine compartment fuse panel, Fuse # 110 -> Accessory delay relay -> Light Blue w/ Black stripe wire.

If you do not have power at the light blue w/ black stripe wire with the key in the accy or run positions, next would be to pull the accessory delay relay from the cab fuse panel, and bench test it to make sure when power & ground are connected to the coil, that the normally open terminals close. Easy test, power & ground to terminal 85 & 86, ohm meter on terminals 30 & 87.

If the accessory delay relay bench tests good, check for continuity on terminal 87 to the light blue w/ black stripe wire at the window switch.
Another easy route is to install a jumper in the relay socket ( with the relay removed ) as shown in the diagram above, red line. This should have power at the power windows regardless of the key position. If not, the fuse is not good or the wire is broken, most likely in the rubber boot from the a pillar to the driver's door.

Dome light and door lights don't come on when open door 2003 silverado 2500hd 8.1L. Can't identify which fuse might be blown, if that's it


try looking for the door switch it is usually mounted on the inner door frame sometimes they stick when older and will not come out all the way to activate the light

Camry 1996 automatic power lock doen't work, but windows work.


if you can here relays when unlocking/locking check for power at door lock actuators inside doors, if you have power on lock/unlock and good earth from connector actuators are faulty.
if no power on test light when operating check output from central door lock module while operating, none coming out of module then it might need replacing.
check 30Amp power fuse for main relay under bonnet (which goes to pin 8 white/blue on module)and 10Amp gauge fuse in cab(pin 1 blue/red on module),pin 15 is also power when relay is on(red/blue) with test light, and module/ actuators.
check outputs from module pin 3 & 4
blue/red
blue/black
that go to door locks

Lost all power to my passenger door in my 2003 Chevy Silverado


Look for broken or corroded wiring in the door, especially where the cable goes from the body to the door. You will probably have to remove the door's interior trim panel for testing and inspection.

Visual: a wire with a nick in the insulation surrounded by a greenish stain is probably corroded through. The wire would have to be cut and spliced at that point. Use an automotive grade self-sealing or heat shrink ene-to-end splice, or put heat shrink tubing on the wire, solder the splice, then shrink the tubing over it. If the wire is part of a wire bundle, tape or zip-tie the splice to the rest of the bundle, other wise secure the cable to a support (away from possible contact with moving parts!) at or near the splice. If the door or the frame around the door is heavily rusted, you may have a bad ground connection.

Electrical: use a voltmeter or 12v tester to check for power in the door. Check the wiring to the lock and window switches first (especially red or pink). If you don't find any that read at or near the battery voltage with the vehicle accessories turned on (driver's door working), then you know it's a wiring problem. Measure voltage between device connector terminals and a good frame ground point (there may not be any power at the window or lock motors unless the corresponding switch is activated).

Code for automatic door locks on 1999 Chevy silverado


you have to take it into the dealership for a 1999. the dealer needs to change the settings in the BCM (body control module). in 2000, the BCM came preprogrammed to allow the owner to change the door lock settings at home. unfortunately for a 1999, it has to be done at the dealership.
