SOURCE: 2005 Honda Accord headlight replacement.

For the driver's side headlight, yes, the battery must be removed to change the headlight. There are three screws but they don't have to be removed, just loosened enough to where the bulb can rotate ninety degrees to pull out. Be prepared to reenter the radio code as disconnecting the battery will cause the radio to electronically lock out. The radio code can be found on the security card or inside the user's manual if you're lucky.

SOURCE: 2005 Honda accord radio code

I have a 2005 accord, and this worked for me.

1)Turn on engine w/ radio off. Push and hold down buttons 1, 6, and power.
2)I got the letter "U" followed by 4 numbers and then letter "L" followed by 4 numbers; write down those numbers.
3) Go to Honda.com
4)Click on Owners home link.
5)On that page you should see an option for retrieving radio codes for honda/acura
6)you will need to enter Vin#, home phone number and zip code fo the original owner. This will then give you the radio code..

The check engine light for my 2005 Accord has been on for a while now and i need to know what it is. I understand it has to do with the catalyst...what can i do without going to the dealer

Replace the cat. Go to your local auto parts store and buy a cat, replace it and you should be good, as far as the check light, simply unhook your - or + side of the battery and it should reset itself..Hope that helps....Good luck!

ABS indicator stays on after changing battery - 2005 Honda Accord

Try unhooking your negative battery cable for about a minute. And the re-inslalling it. If that doesn't reset it , it was probably just a coincidence that the battery amd the speed sensor went bad at the same time.
