Question about 2001 Dodge Stratus

1 Answer

Can't find the heating relay/resistor on a 2001 dodge stratus 2.7L magnum. I removed the glove compartment per the manual but it's not there? I want to replace it because the fan runs only on high.

Thermostat Not working, no heat/blower

Double check Problem: Thermostat is different from blower Motor problem. I changed [ on passenger side interior ], the RESISTOR PACK for Fan speed then the Cockpit Fan which is behind the Glove Compartment. My Fan was emitting a burning smell then stopped completely. Used Haynes Manual for replacement instructions. Test OK

How do you change the blower motor on a 2004 dodge caravan

hello,

1.First dissable the air bag system

2. open the glove compartment, squeeze the side in to release the glove box stops and lower glove box.

3.You will see the Blower Motor Resistor directly behind the glove box.

4.There will be two pig tails (one vehicle harness, one resistor), remove pig tails, remove two screws to free resistor.

5.Replace resistor, reverse removal procedure.

Done!!

Take care..

2001 caravan fan only blows on high ac/heat both front and rear(dual air)

It is the blower motor resistor located behind the dash glove box. Take the glove box out to access and change. It is mounted on/into the fire wall.
Very easy to access, remove and install a new resistor.

Fan not blowing heat out

I have a 2001 Dodge Stratus.... the same exact thing happen to me. First it only worked on high #4 and then it stopped all together. I just fixed it today. It is the BLOWER MOTOR RESITOR. I actually changed it myself. It is inside the car under the glove box. There is a little cover you can take off. You will need a tool to take off the 2 screws once the cover is off. And then unplug the old one and install the new one. Really easy. The RESISTOR will cost you about 40 bucks.

How do you install the blower motor resistor in this vehicle? Where is it located? do you have an illustration you can email me by chance? Thank you, Christina

The resistor in my 2000 is located inside the passenger side of the car under the dash. Probably the same place for yours. There are two screws that hold it on. Its right under the glove compartment box. take out the screws, pull the wiring off, remove resistor, install new resistor. Plug in wires. Install screws.
