When you say fluid im guessing you mean tranny and diffs.if so and you do a lot of towing id use a synthetic fluid for the tranny and diffs it will cost slightly more but better in the long run. one thing if you go with synthetic youll have to say with it. if you dont do a lot of towing or driving id just go back with mercon 2 tranny fluid and regular gear oil for the diffs. happy motoring.

How much transmission fluid does it take when changing the transmisssion screen and filter?

When the pan is dropped and fluid is drained, to refill, it usually needs 5 - 6 quarts. When refilling, check the transmission fluid dipstick as you are adding the last two quarts. And also run the transmission thru the gears.

Black power steering fluid

Power steering fluid has not been changed in eons, i suggest draining the fluid, refilling with a cheap fresh fluid, then bleed the system by turning the wheels from lock to lock a few times with the cap of the steering fluid master cylinder off, then drain the system again & refill with good quality power steering fluid - it should be pink & smell sweet, - the power steering fluid that is!!

How do you get the fluid out of the converter 2004 f150 when changinge fluild

You don't. That fluid stays in during a fluid change. Repair manuals show two refill capacities. One is for a normal change, and one for a complete overhaul, as when filling after installing, and transmission and torque converter are completely dry. Normal refill capacity is when the converter still has fluid in it.

Stumble driveing in high gear

First, check your transmission fluid. If it is low, you should fill it immediately. If it is full, but brown in color, it should be changed. A likely cause of the problem is a clogged filter. If you have not had the trans. filter changed on 60,000 or more miles, do so. It is a good idea to have the fluid flushed and refilled at this point as well. You may want to consider refilling with a synthetic fluid. This will tend to increase transmission lifespan. Just make sure the fluid is compatible with your vehicle. Mercon V is a good bet for this. Finally, there is a product called Lucas Transmission Fix. I use this in everything. I recommend using a bottle when refilling the transmission, no matter what kind of fluid you use. Put the Lucas in after 2-3 qts of transmission fluid, so as not to clog the pump at startup.

Need to change the fluid on an 02 santa fe 2wd w/ 2.7

Use ONLY Hyundai SPIII fluid - no other substitute is available. Several ways to do this - drain & refill several times: run engine to operating temp and cycle the trans through D & R. drain fluid again, refill and run engine again and cycle D & R, drain and refill again. Do not over fill - check when fluid is hot, the adjust level.
The other way is a Trans-Flush machine which performs a 'fluid exchange' - pulls old fluid out while replacing it with fresh fluid while the engine is running at idle in Neutral.

Have 115,000 miles on car ..when for an oil change and was told I needed to change transmission fluid and power steering fluid....Cannot locate my manual...when do these fluids need to be changed and is...

Regarding the transmission, if you have an automatic, use genuine Honda ATF fluid only and only do a drain and refill. A power flush will damage the Honda Transmission. It should be drained and refilled every 60k initially, then every 30k afterwards.
