Question about 1999 Dodge Caravan
The gear on my Dodge Caravan 1999 is not switching. And the speedometer is not working. But the car does work only in the first gear. The transmission is automatic.
The Vehical Velocity Sensor (VVS) has gone bad or the wire harness to lead to the VVS has gone bad. It's on top of the right hand side extension housing of the trans-axle, accessible from the left rear corner of the engine bay. One bolt holds the VVS in place. First check the wire harness are seated correctly and also check all your fuse, (Under the hood and driver side dash); you may not even require a new sensor.
Good luck and keep me posted
