Well fortunately core/freeze plugs rarely leak anymore so the most likely cause of your leak is a heater hose at the passenger side firewall. Place a piece of clean cardboard under the area and run the engine. Watch closely the two heater hoses coming from the heater control valve and into the firewall(heater core), I'm sure you will find your leak up there. Thanks, Dana

4 cyl., 5 speed. Why is it leaking somewhere under the frame - not transmission fluid

Smell the fluid. If it smells like gasoline you have a gas leak. If it smells like antifreeze you could have a hose or a anti freeze cooler line leaking. Or could be a water pump leaking and running along the frame under the car. Get a flash light and crawl under neath the vehicle and see where the fluid is coming from.

What kind of leaks could come from the motor?

1. Coolant (anti-freeze water mix)

2. Oil

3. fresh water which has condensed on your air conditioner--this is harmless--seen mostly on hot humid days.

4. not exactly from the engine but from places near it:

transmission fluid

brake fluid

windshield washer fluid

These each have its own distinctive feel and smell, but it is too difficult to describe these in words.

My coolint is evaperating, and i have to add every day

you must have a leak somewhere. Your coolant will not boil unless you have a leak. Check for leak traces of fluid the color of your anti-freeze. Your radiator cap is spring loaded and with time the spring gets weak.
Check that area for leak traces. The easiest way to check for leaks is to look at your driveway. if you have a coolant leak the fluid traces will be on the driveway. Don't mistake your air conditioner water leak as being the coolant fluid. The anti-freeze coolant has a sweet smell whereas the air conditioner fluid is just plain water being removed from the air inside of your cab.

What does it mean when I loosing transmission fluid from a hose connected to my radiator

At the base of the radiator there are two lines connected coming from the transmission on a automatic. one is the feed, the other is the return. the most common leak is where the rubber line is clamped to the nipple on the radiator. just replace both rubber lines and put new clamps on and 99% likely this will fix the problem. its cheap and easy to do.
once you know how to do this you are set since most cars/trucks are set up exactly the same plus this is how you identify which radiator should you buy a used one. you can use an auto rad in a stick vehicle by capping the nipples but not vice versa.
the rubber lines tend to get cut into and/or cracked on the ends after a while. if nothing else, once the lines are off, you can take a flashlight, clean and inspect around the nipple area for any cracks.
with the engine running and in park/neutral check your ****** fluid and be sure there is no anti-freeze in it and that its not black or burnt smelling. as was already said, check your anti-freeze, mainly check your overflow since the floating ****** fluid will get purged back into there first.

Replacing leaking hose and refill with anti-freeze/coolant. What is the proper fluid amount and mixture?

The correct mixture/temperature scales are printed on the bottles of all good quality anti freezes. You can purchase a special hydrometer from a motor spares outlet that will give you the exact freezing point of you coolant, ti repeat, the mix depends on the minimum ambient temperature you expect to be driving in.

Car leaking coolant

First of all ensure that your car is leaking coolant fluid, and what is dripping is not just water condensation from the air conditioner.
If you have a coolant liquid leak, it can be from one of the ducts leading to radiator , from water pump or radiator itself. Check liquid levels, and if you have a leak have the car inspected by a qualified mechanic.
A broken water pump, for example, can cause your motor to blow in few miles.
