Using that much coolant, with nothing showing outside makes me think a head gasket is going away, or it is coming out and you aren't seeing it...Check the rug inside? is it wet? Have a dye test (for a blacklight) and hydrocarbon test done...no leak can elude those and it will tell you what you need to do as a fix. No "at home" tests you can do except carefully looking everywhere, cold with cap off and hot with cap on.

Regarding the "rumble" Could be a u joint or cv joint, or even a bearing in one of the differentials...running it on a lift is often the only way to find a specific noise source. Again though, careful looking around can sometimes reveal a problem.

I'm hearing a rumbling noise, sounds like a wheel bearing. When i lift the jeep up off the ground and check the bearings, by rotating the wheels, they all sound good. It is a 4x4 and when I bought it there...

When you take the weight off the bearing it will stop making the noise. Grab a friend,go for a drive and see if you can narrow down which wheel is making the noise.Good luck

2001 and 2002 jeep grand cherokee. while making hard left hand turn experience rumbling sound doesnt happen when driving straight or right turns. Cant decide if sound is from front or rear area

Try checking the bearing in the left wheel if the rumbling is on the left side. Sometimes bearings can be worn down and sometimes may even twist or bend.

Transmission slips starting in 4X4

4x4 low is just alow ratio gear in transfer case just for when you need that extra boost when your stuck or pulling something up a hill or thru mudd, something on that order. you can run the transmission in any gear you want, but drive is the prefered gear. in other words when your in 4x4 low lieve it in drive. happy 4 wheeling. 2000 Jeep Cherokee Windshield Washer

You have a motor for the front and rear washer. Check the fuses. If the intermitted wipers does not work, there is a relay under the dash near the steering colum that needs to be replaced.

Jack up the jeep and spin the wheel by hand, does it rotate smoothly? Grab the tire at top and bottom (while off the ground) and try to pull the top of the tire out while you push the bottom of the tire in. Have someone watch to see if the the tire is moving in and out, it shouldn't. Also grab front of tire at middle, and back of tire at middle and try to move in and out. You should not see any movement. If you do, your wheel bearings may be shot, also check your axle U-joint to see if it's shot. Good Luck! Countrycurt0
