You'll first want to check the connection to the fuel tank harness. This is the easy solution. Next you'll need to test the ground on the fuel tank itself. If these prove to be good, than your fuel sending unit has/ or is, failing. Thank you, Dana P.S. You may also want to wiggle the harness connector near your fuel guage from behind for these have been known to lose contact.
