Question about 2006 Chrysler Crossfire

1 Answer

Battery is dead and can't get in. The keyless remote (I tried both of them) will not open the doors. I tried using the key-it will not open the doors. How can I at least open the engine hood to remove or charge the battery. I just drove this car 2 days ago and everything was fine.

The key should open only one door (driver's side) regardless if the battery is flat or not.

Sounds like the contacts in the buttons are not making contact.. you may want to try taking the remote apart and cleaning the contacts and seeing what happens. If the remote is truely dead you may need a new remote

General:open the door with the key.If no key availabile, learn how to pick a lock.If the lock is taped, there are several ways to brake into the car.Hint:less invasive, jack the car from under the engine try to open the hood or inject power into conectors.

My car battery is dead. The keyless remote wont unlock the door and neither will my key. Please help

Not sure why the key will not work, but you should be able to raise the front end and hook a jumper cable to the battery post on the starter. That will power the battery until you can get the door open.

Drivers door will not open with key or battery hand piece,,other doors okay with both. 2002 crv

-If the problem is that keyless remote does unlock or lock door, but the lock lever still move when pulling up and down by hand. Door still open and close with both inner and outer, then might the driver door lock actuator is bad. The actuator lock and unlock the door for you when using the keyless remote or door lock/unlock switch.

-if you try using the key to unlock door and the key doesn't turn the door cylinder, then you have a bad door lock cylinder.

-if the lock lever doesn't move up or down and you can't open door using any handle, then you got a bad lock latch assembly.

I'm not sure what the issue is but hope this helps you.
