The oil filter is in the centre front of the engine half way down. It is hidden underneath 2 large breather pipes. They are held on by 3 hex bolts. remove those and get the pipes out of the way then you will be able to remove the conister with a 27mm socket. Enjoy!

The filter is a canister/element type meaning its not one you just screw on. with that in mind youre looking for a black round cover on the oil pan which be unscrewed and when you take it down you will see the filter inside. replace it and the o rings and refill the oil. the system will hold about 6 quarts.

2008 Volvo V50 - Cabin Air Filter Location?

It's under the dashboard. First you must dismount the accelerator pedal (!), remove some dashboard plastic on driver side. The filter is somewhere behind the central console.
I think it should be changed every two years. Look into the manual.
The company where you take the car for oil & filter change every year must change also this filter with no additional charges. Of course they charge you for the filter, which is not very exponsive.

Remove drivers side kick panel next to gas pedal.  Remove gas pedal at base (three ten millimeter bolts).  Remove access panel to remove cabin filter.
