Could be a bad compressor, or a plugged line. More detailed analisys of your car will be required

Ac wont blow cool

check the actuator door on the heater and make sure it is opening an closing the door on the heater to transfer from heat to ac. It is a small motor attached to the heater and allows the ac to be directed to the vents.

AC blows hot air when I go over 60 miles per hour. Works fine otherwise.

Interesting question. The AC condensor is in front of the radiator, and the movement of the car (or the fan) cools the refrigerant.

This is not working normally. I'd suspect
a) the refrigerant level is low (ie a slow leak), fix is refilling it.
b) the compressor stops working at higher rpm. Various issues can cause this.

Have the system pressure checked at an AC shop. One QUICK and dirty way is to take off the AC hose HI pressure cap. Press the valve BRIEFLY. If you hear a sharp, loud noise of escaping pressure, the level is probably OK. If you hear a soft hissing sound, the pressure is low, and the refigerant has to be refilled.

Where do i add r134a to my 1996 mercedes c220

Refrigerant goes in the low pressure hose, but this job requries special tools and equipment, and MOST IMPORTANT, training. It is not just adding refigerant that makes the system work correctly.

At a given ambient temprature, you need to have a certain pressure, measured with AC gauges. Over or under charge can result on system malfunction, or destruction. Oil moves with the refrigerant, so low refrigerant will not move oil and you can wreck your compressor.
Consider getting proper system service at an AC qualified shop.

Ac not working

Get a garage to recharge the refigerant gas in your cooling system - you might have a leak also, they can pressure check it to find out.

The recharge can be done at home with a kit from any motor factor store but the pressure check is unreliable. You also need to know where the connections are.

AC Compressor does not kick in when you turn on AC switch in cabin just blows air. '06 HHR

First thing to do is check the refigerant levels, your local parts store sells a gauge to do this. If the refigerant level is ok, you need to start checking the control circuits, The low pressure switch is one of the most common electrical failures. In many cases special tools and training is required to service and repair these systems, There not as simple as they used to be. Computers control just about everything these days

AC LIGHT NOT TURNING ON AT CONTROL UNIT, COMPRESSOR NOT COMING ON

There are several things that can go wrong with the a/c, but if the light on the button is not lighting up, you may have a bad control head, or climate control module. The first thing you always want to do though if the a/c isn't working is to check the refigerant levels.
