IM SORRY BUT THAT IS FUNNY.

No seriously now.....if the release in the trunk wont work then the relaese may be stuck, frozen, or broken.

While you are pulling the one in the trunk, you or someone else use something like a small screwdriver to pop the lid open, then leave it open till you find out whats wrong with the release.

By the way, just so you know, those gas doors will not stop anyone from syphoning your gas. A screwdriver will pop that door open in 1/2 second, its more cosmetic and a slight deterent.

How to drain gas tank on 1984 ford ltd crown victoria to remove the old gas?

If the old gas is bad you should remove the tank, dump the gas, and clean the inside of the tank. You may have to siphon the gas to get to the point where you can manage the tank to remove it.

Gas tank is always refusing to take gas.

Its a vapor lock....you have to fill it up and it will go away or I've seen people drive in circles at the gas station trying to get it to release.

I need to siphon the gas out of the car. I bought a siphon kit and put the correct hose from the pump into the tank, but the hose does not even get wet from the gas. The car was just filled up to capacity...

as you are pushing the hose in the tank twist the hose so it rolls over and it should go in, the hose will probably need to be three feet long, you may have to go to lowes or home depot and get a longer hose that will also fit the siphon pump

Have to change the fuel pump, whats the easiest way

Good luck on that - I believe the fuel pump is mounted INSIDE the gas tank in an assembly that includes the float and sock filter. You probably just filled the tank ( my luck goes that way too) and will need to siphon or drain the tank to do the job. This job is pretty involved and you may want to take it to a shop if you can afford to. If the problem is no fuel, you may want to change the fuel filter first - it's mounted against the frame rail, driver side, under the car. Make sure you release the fuel pressure by pressing down the release valve on the fuel rail under the hood, top of motor. The release valve looks like a tire's air valve and will spray gas at you so put a rag over it before pushing.

My Volvo S70 has a gas tank lid that locks when closed. There is a release on the driver's door. Yesterday when I tried to use the release on the driver's door to open the gas tank lid the gas tank lid...

HI,
Is this a lever or button you pull or push? If it's a button than it must be electric and there is likely a fuse somewehre in the link for both trunk and gas lid that may be under the dash, by the engine, or somwhere else.

If it's a lever than it's likely a cable that runs back to them...but not sure how BOTH would be 'broken'. Does the lever feel 'different' as in loose or less tension than in the past?

Fuel Filter Location

I called the dealer and the dealer said it does not have an in-line fuel filter, but there is one the fuel tank (actually, it is a fuel pump strainer part#FS233 for $10.oo).
Put the rear seats down and open the trunk for ventilation and open the gas cap for gasoline pressure release.
The fuel pump cover is right behind the rear car seats in the trunk.
Be very careful when messing with gasoline. I will be replacing the strainer this weekend, but I plan to siphon out the gasoline before I do (I just feel safer with the tank empty)

Fuel Filler Lid won't open

it sounds like you have a broken cable that connects from the inside of the car to the release of the gas tank. now the other release ( you said the book says is in the trunk on the lefthand-side ) it is probably under the lining of the trunk because most of them are not in plan sight for you to see.
