You start by getting any codes that may be stored so you strat figuring out what to do next. You cannot hard wire anything or else your check engine light will be on or your fry your computer.

Where did you get the trans.??? is it a new replacement or a junkyard one ??

Why does1998 blazer work in 4low not in 4 hi?

The switch is magnetic to shift from one to the other. Possible bad ground, bad switch, or broken wire. Check wiring going to the tranny. Chances are that is where your problem lies.

1997f-350powerstroke 7.3diesl when tranny heats up it slips out of drive I slow down and shift manually it runs great for another few miles when truck is cold I can drive for 12 miles or so then it slips

Sounds like the front pump is going bad or the filter or cooler is clogged.

I suggest a transmission shop such as AAMCO to look at it as it takes special equiptment to run the needed tests for proper diagnosis.

Sorry no simple fix for that.

97 cavalier starts and runs ok from a cold start after a few minutes of warm up it starts to run rough and miss. If i try to drive it it will start out ok but won't shift automaticly but shifts fine m

Sounds like possibly more than on problem, crankshaft position sensor, or ignition module likely on starting prob which maybe affecting shifting due to hard code in ecm, or shift prob could be shift solenoid in valve body of transmission. Both parts readily available from local parts store

When driving the truck tends to rev way higher than normal, when you are at a stop and then try to go depending on how hard you hit the gas it will bog down almost dying, or die. also when you are driving...

sounds like your torque converter going bad. change the tranny fluid, and look for metal shavings (have a pro do this), sometimes you can squeeze enough life out of a bad tranny/torque converter by changing the fluid, or it might just be a clogged tranny filter. change the fluid, and if theres metal shavings in it, sell it while it still runs.

Just had transmission replaced in my 2000 chevy blazer replaced..now when i went to pick it up the guy tells me transmission is good but i can not get the shifter to move into gear..we can crawl under...

It sounds like this guy who installed your transmission dinn;t adjust the shift cable correctly or damaged a part that bolts to the drivers side of the transmission called the interlock switch Don;t get me wrong its not an easy job to replace the transmission in your vehicle But paid a lot and it should work I seggest you call the shop and explain you can;t shift the vehicle I have a feeling that its the interlock switch its hooked drectly to the shifting mecanisum its not easy to remove with out damageing and should have been replaced with transmission job its a 20 dollar part it could still be the cable adjustment but at any rate its sure not your fault
