Remove the air cleaner assembly
locate your upper rad hose and follow it to the engine
you will see the thermostat housing held in with 2 10mm bolts
remove the 2 bolts and remove the thermostat housing
inside you will see a rubber o-ring and the thermostat
remove and replace thermostat and o-ring reassemble
top up coolant and let it run until the thermostat opens to purge the air
from the system one final top and and your good to go

1998 subaru thermostate

The T-Stat is located under the car up front just in front of the oil pan. Watch the video at this link, the owner in the video is replacing the thermostat housing gasket which contains the thermostat. Please be safe and support the car on a safety jack stand, never raise and work under an unsupported car unless you are prone to a death wish.

Is there more than one thermostate on the 06 H3?

no there is only one thermostat. but it is made into the housing and has to be replaced as a whole. time for this procedure is 2.1 hours. add in the thermostat and new coolant and the price seams resonable

How to change out thermostat in 1991 buck centry 3300

your thermostate is probably on the block sideways in whitch case you need to remove the air filter outr of your way and loosen the clamp on the thermostate housing. from there take out the 3 bolts holding the thermostat housing in place and remove it. Caution water/antifreeze will come out. take the thermostate out watching where the gasket has been placed and install the new one after cleaning the suface of the old gasket. sometimes it is good to use indian head gasket sealer. there will be 2 bolts on top and 1 bolt on the bottom under the housing. install the new thermostate tightn the hose replace your filter and fill the over flow resivor only to the point on COLD MAX. take the cap off the radiator start the car wait for the thermostate to open and fill the raditor the rest the way up. if it starts to boil over just shut the car off and let it cool than add more water *** needed...
