My brake lights are stuck on, and my fuel pump kicks off after 30 sec after starting the car, would the brake lights cause that problem

brake light switch not mounted anymore, you probably kick it not relizing what you did ! re-install switch to bracket @ pedal . NO , this has nothing to do with fuel pump ! check fuses, & fuel pump relay, it may have a fuse also ! ? when you turn key on, you should hear a hum for 2 seconds, thats your pump priming it self to start your engine. check all ground wires for good ground !!!!!!!

Tries to turnover but wont start

Check to see if you're getting spark at the plugs. If not, try changing the ignition module. If that doesn't fix it, then you possibly have a fuel delivery problem. Check the pressure at the fuel rail. If it's too low, or even non-existent, then replace the fuel pump (mounted inside the fuel tank). Be sure to replace the pump strainer and fuel filter, too, if you change the pump

Were is the fuel filter located on a 2005 jeep wrangler SE 2.4L

There is no external inline fuel filter, no manufacturer uses them anymore. There is a nylon fine mesh screen on the inlet to the electric fuel pump, it never needs to be serviced unless the fuel pump is being replaced. Most often even then you just wash it out in Stoddard solvent

I have a problem with my 2002 oldsmobile alero. Sometime my car cuts off on me while driving at a low speed other times it wont start at all and when it doesnt start i dont hear the fuel pump kick on while...

I had a very similar problem - someone also replaced the fuel pump to no avail. I found the problem to be a poor ground connection where the fuel pump wires were joined to the connector under the rear of the car. I was able to easily fix this by listening for the pump while moving the cable connector. Haven't had a problem since.

Wont start

try kicking your fuel tank and if your fuel pump is bad it may "kick start" so to speak your fuel pump, if nothin happens it may be the fuel pump, the lines may not have enough pressure, it may also be your filter just being a lil dirty and needing replaced

Toyta pick up trys to start but wont

I think the fuses was blown because the fuel pump is playing up so the best option is to replace your fuel pump and hope it will solve your problem

1993 Econoline van willnot start, 5.0 L V8

The fuel pump is not your problem here.If the pump wasnt working the van wouldn't start at all.You are indeed having a problem with one of the pulleys..Maybe even the alternator its self.If your new belt is already getting chewed up then for sure theres a problem with something there.Take belt off and spin each pulley and see if you find the problem.that should work for you.Hope this helps you and have a great day.....

1998 suburban will not start

you might try changing the fuel filter first..its located just below the drivers door and is like a cannister.also check your catalytic converter.if its clogged it wont let it run on its own.i have a suburban and just went throguh what you are now. my fuel pump wasnt bad but i put in a new one anyway. it cost about 56.00 i think and its in the tank.which is held in place by 2 straps try the filter first and go from there. the converter is hard to check but if you tap it and hear anything moving inside it means its on its way out.when you take the filter off turn the key over to see if you get any gas....if you do then your pump is good if you dont then youll need to replace it
