Does the vehicle run this way with the gauges "waving"?? Does the engine start?? Was there any problems before this problem happened??

2002 ford windstar headlights blinking and guages bouncing as if i was turning key forward. how do i solve this

starter switch usually mounted on top of steering column, actuated with a metal rod. Remove mounting screws for column, lower it down to access the starter switch. Ford typically mounts them here, like this:

1991 cutlass ciera 2.5 cranksensor location

The speedometer is not driven by the crank sensor. That drives the rev counter amongst other ignition timing things.

check your alternator..take it to autozone or advance and have them test it while the car is running its free or charge your alternator may be power surging and cause the guages to go crazy like mine did and was the alternator give that a try

I have a 99 chevrolet blazer LS it was running fine the drivers side window rolled down but rolled back up extremely slow when i shut it off it wouldnt re-start the battery was dead so i jumped it and it...

that is one grimlin that is pretty well cornered your ignition switch is command central for all you listed that was not working properly inside the barrel of your ignition are the contact pins that supplies power to everything that requires power that why when you turn ignition off everything shut down so your battery does not die out .i would say that there is a 99% chance that your ignition is shot.

Ignition key had to insert lately?
Car starts and runs excellent, EXCEPT, when it frequently...
After ignition starts...
A: Brake and Air Bag Lights come on.
B:Tranny SCREAMS only IN park OR neutral.
C: NO A.C or FAN, blinkers, Power windows, radio, mirror motors, YET locks, lights and Engine work EXCELLENT!
SOLUTION: Wiggle forward and back THE IGNITION key!
BAD IGNITION SWITCH!

Difference between oil sending unit and the oil pressure switch

Same part...make sure you get one for gauge, not idiot light though. If the engine has any knocking or ticking when pressure drops do not drive it and have a mechanical gauge installed to check actual pressure. Parts often have different names for same item...your driveshaft is actually called a propeller shaft!!!

Temp gauge bouncing up an down

That vehicle has two coolant temp sensors on it, both are on the passengers side of the end of the head, where the thermostat housing is. One has a two wire plug, this one tells your fans to come on the other is one single pin, this one is for your temp gauge. This sensor works off resistance, the higher the resistance the higher the gauge in the car goes. This sensor has probably grounded out and pegged your gauge in the car. Replace that sensor and you should be good to good, not too expensive either. Good luck.

When my truck gets real hot the oil preasure guage starts bouncing when truck idles as soon as truck is put into park or is reved up a bit it stops bouncing

You may have a Faulty Oil Pressure Sender.
Here are some reason why your guage is bouncing:
  • Corrosion or faulty electrical connections
  • If the oil pressure gauge is pegged low after the engine is running, or is pegged high after the engine is running, or if there is intermittent illumination of an oil pressure indicator light, the sender could be faulty
You can find the oil sensor on the left hand side near the Oil Filter, as long as you don't hear your lifters ticking and making lots of noise. it's not your oil pump failing.
Good luck and hope this helps
