Question about 1994 Isuzu Pickup
If the car has been in a collision, some have a centrifugal switch which will cut off the power to the fuel pump. Typically this is located on the interior of the car behind a panel, sometimes in the door jambs. Even if there hasn't been a collision, it's worthwhile to see if you can find this switch and determine if it's been tripped. It works like a circuit breaker, you just press the button back in the reset.
If this isn't the case (or if your car doesn't have a shutoff switch), then your problem could be the fuel pump relay. Check your fuse panel to see if there's a diagram that gives you the location of the relay, then see if when you jump the relay if the fuel pump goes on (have a helper stand by the tank to see if they can hear it buzz). If it goes on my being jumped, get a new relay.
Hope this helps.
