Yes you can, but you shouldn't since the vehicle was designed for maximum efficiency as it is. But so that you know, they are used to provide heated coolant to help heat the base of the carburetor to aid in fuel vaporization & efficiency good luck.

Where are heater core hoses in 2003 dodge grand caravan?

You will find them under the hood.
Do you know what the heater core is? About the size of a hard-back book, it is a small radiator with engine coolant passing through it. It is located inside the heater case under the dash.
There are two hoses, an inlet line and a return line. Both same size, about 1 inch in diameter. Both hoses come from the engine and go up to the firewall behind the engine. Both hoses connect to the heater core right at the firewall, so there are hose clamps on the end of the hoses.
You can remove and replace the heater hoses right there under the hood, pretty easy too. But if you need to replace the heater core, that comes out from under the dash. Often there is a lot of work to get to the core, as there is a loot in the way.

I have just had my carby professionally rebuild, how do I reinstall a ford econovan carby 1999 model

Ah 'carby', Australian for 'carburettor'.

Water doesn't come out of anywhere on a carb, so I reckon it will be one of the heater hoses, either perished or split. Best was to find it is use a lead lamp and a small mirror. Hopefully you wont have to remove the carb to replace it. Might even just be a loose hose clamp. ford econovan cooling system Bing images

Turn on power to heater & nothing but the power light comes on, please help

There's a heater core box where radiator coolant passes through. When you turn on the heater, the fan on the heater core box blows air through the core, then the air is heated up and it passes through the air ducts, which leads to the windshield defroster, the vents, or your feet depending on where you set the control. If you're not feeling heat, either the fan on the heater core box is not working, or there's restriction on the coolant hoses and hot coolant isn't passing through the heater core box. Remove and diagnose the heater core box to ascertain the coolant lines are not blocked and the fan is fully operational. If the heater core box is OK, then the hoses have restriction to prevent hot coolant from passing through the heater core box.

How to get heater coil out of a 2000 eldarado

I had the same probl..em and in Oct 2012 same car!! well I searched and asked many people then looked at car myself to verify.. you go from inside, you will have to remove the entire dash, where all the wire controls are! since I am in FL the wires used in this car are becoming brittle :( guess from the heat here??!! bad cadillac for this quality of parts!! I afraid of breaking anything else opted to by pass the heater core :( the heater core location is middle of car behind firewall maybe 1 to 2 inches closer to the passenger side (bad design to get to!!) to by pass this under hood on passengers side up on fire wall you can see where the hose goes into it and where it comes out, cut both hose off here and then tye in by passing the heater core using a u shaped hose or small u brass plumbing fitting (u shape to go around a/c stuff) making sure SURE it will not leak and is air tight! (NOTE: heater will NOT work) A/C will still work. I get no dash warning, and no Codes are triggered! Cool cheap and EASY. I am a 40 something single mom and did this myself :)

Chevy silverado heater not blow out at floorboard position it will work at all other? No other problems like water on floorboard.

With the engine cold look under the hood for a small vacuum hose that feeds the duct controls. Its usually on the pass. side near the A/C box mounted on the fire wall. The vac hose will be coming off the intake manifold. They get broke off or disconnected with the heat.

My 2002 Dodge dakota King cab 4.7 litre V8 ac/heater fan quit on me yesterday. I get an ac light when the ac button is selected and a little residual air flow when in motion but the blower motor rotary...

Look for a plastic black plate of rectangular shape. Thics could be under the hood on the pass. side firewall or under the dash on the pass. side. It will be attached to the ac/Heater box with to 5/16 hex head screws. The plate will have four push terminals connected to it by a singular connector plug. This is your blower resistor and controls the # 2 3 4 speeds from the switch. They go without notice. take it out and look for signs of burnt or melted coils.

93 lincoln town car leaking antifreeze down back of engine

there is a small heater hose on the pass side rear from the firewall(heater core) to the intake manifold. the plastic manifolds have a tendency to split where the hose fitting goes into the intake. If that is where it is leaking the manifold needs replacement.

Hose that attaches to back of thermostat housing is leaking

The hose is a cooling by-pass hose. It makes a big horseshoe and attaches under the front of the intake maniold. I think that if you have small hands and a lot of patience you can likely replace it without haveing to take half the engine apart. (You have to pull the head to pull the intake manifold).
I think if you remove the battery, and have a small bright light you will be able to see where if attaches under the front of the intake manifold. Advance auto sells the by -pass hose for
around $12.00 I think.

Becare if you are probing around there are way too many vaccum lines under the manifold.
If they come off and you don't know where to put them -- you are in deep kim chee. I know I am
in super deep Kim chee now.

Hope this helps
