Ignition turns over but car will not start...

Car has been running rough for a couple of days after sitting thru a storm for 5 days last week. Ran for 2 1/2 days this week then just died. Put new battery and seems to be not getting enough gas to fully start. Tried to flood it to get things rolling but can't even get a scent of gas. Cleaned and put spark plugs in again too, but same ones.

Sorry to hear your vehicle is down. check the fuel filter if so equipped, or could be fuel pump.

When using starter fluid, remove air induction to the throttle body and spray a 1 to 2 second burst directly down the TB and promptly start.

Also a flooded engine will not fire, even with starter fluid. Pull a plug and see if it's soaked with fuel. If the plug appears dry and there is spark and it won't fire on starter fluid directly down the TB, then most likely the spark is too weak. Inspect cap and rotor for erosion. Look for signs of carbon tracks on the cap and the coil.

have a pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check for pump-regulator pressure and filter performance. You state that the filter was last changed in 2007 so it is well past it's blocked up date .. Run fault codes . replace the canister . Have a compression test done as the engine is getting long in the tooth and may need refreshing .. Check that the cat converter is still operational as they will block up the exhaust system and cause poor performance

Ran completely out of gas last week - put gas in - car started fine- ran a little rough and idled rough. Now 10 days later MIL light on in dash and perform service message. Won't go out after several

have the fuel filter changed and have the computer checked for codes incase something else is going on and they can be cleared to turn off the light.any dirt in the lines should be out of them by now.its possible that there is dirt in the injectors and a fuel system service should be done to clean them which is a recomended service on all cars anyways.you can have the fuel pressure checked while its in the shop to make sure the pressure is within specs.

Car turns over but will not run idles rough then stalls degreased engine was able to get running took for test drive ran fine went home let sit for couple of hours went to drive it again turns over but...

sounds like you got the thing wet....DO NOT PRESSURE WASH/STEAM CLEAN ENGINE COMPARTMENT.leave the hood up and hopefully it will dry itself out,or if you can start it, let it run for an hour at least on tickover with all electrics on and a/c on full.A NICE SUNNY DAY WOULD ALSO HELP.....
