Hi, my 1994 Saab 9000 has a startin problem. I have not used it for a while as its a second car for us, but I have had the battery on charge so its ok. The problem is when i turn key to lsst stage on start up,nothing happens,there is no dimming of ignition lights, you can here the fuel pump priming, have smacked the starters celunoid but has made no difference, any ideas?

Try the inhibitor switch cmmon problem in saabs according to my mechanic

Hi,there is a torx head bolt on the side of the g/box for topping up the g/box oil access is improved by removing the N/S wheel.top up with oil till it starts to overflow from here.

SAAB manuals recommend replacing the chain if the chain tensioner is extended more than 11mm.

Have a large drain pan and remove the trans pan carefully. Then remove the filter. Install the new filter and pan with provided gaskets as given in the filter kit. Add trans fluid and check the level with the enginge running in park. Top off till full. Usually 4 quarts are needed

hi, its most likely the clock spring,you need to remove steering wheel to be able to get to it and replace it.

you have a short somwhere try unplugging fuses and see if the power stops leaking to run down the short

yes , unplug the battery and reconnect after a few seconds this set car in shipping mode and alarm off until rearmed by turning key 3 times
