'93 Isuzu Rodeo, CV Joint replacement.

I have a 1993 Isuzu Rodeo, and the outer CV boot on the passenger side is torn. The frame is rusted pretty well, so disassembling the whole front end might prove to be more trouble than its worth. Is there any other way to remove the cv joint so I can replace the whole thing without taking off the front end?

Check to see if your CV boot is torn. Usually it is the outer boot towards the wheel, there are a total of 2 boots per side 4 total for the car.

How do I remove the cv axle in a ford telstar 1993 - both sides

Line the outer up in the right place and enter it until the circlip is against the splines . Use a large heavy hammer and rap the end of the shaft hard and the circlip will pop in the groove and allow the shaft to go home.. Removal from the shaft is much the same as it has a circlip inside the transmission. So remove the shaft from the wheel. Use a hammer to hit the cv joint so that it jumps the shaft out of the transmission .

Clicking sound when in 4WD

Of coarse

Anytime a CV Boot tears the dirt & water off the
road ruins the joint & you have to replace the axle,
thus the clicking.

6 months you knew that an didn't care

As they say pay me now or pay more later

Im replacin the cv joints on passanger side and driver side how do i get the axle out of the transmission casing is ther a key behind the plate with the 4 bolts? my truck is a 99 isuzu rodeo LS 4wd

remove inner cv boot, just on inside edge is circlip which holds inner bearing joint into outer housing remove circlip and separate joint outer housing does not come out of front diff unless you drop or remove whole front diff assembly
will have to remove whole stub axle hub assembly to remove drive shaft from outer wheel stub axle (hub) assembly

When makeing a left turn clicking.

this is the sign of a failing outer CV joint in the drive shaft. look under car at driveshaft. the rubber boot around CV joint is probably torn. This allows lube to fling out and water to come in, contaminating the CV joint. Replace the entire drive shaft instead of replacing only the outer CV joint.

When Im turning i can hear a clicking coming from the front side of my car what could it be?

check your CV joint boots. If the boot is torn then the CV joint is probably bad. replace the whole drive shaft instead of repairing just the outer CV joint.
