My 2002 Windstar has 285K kms. on it, love the van

My 2002 Windstar has 285K kms. on it, bought it new. Love the van but it started idling rough after warming up,.. but still accelerates well, then it occasionally seems like its back firing on uphill or harder acceleration. it revs quite freely when not in gear. now its stumbling at almost any acceleration, unless it's reving high.
I have replaced all plugs and wires and I do all regular maintenance. Regular use on injector cleaner usually twice a year.

My thought is either the mass air flow sensor,.. or the Idle sensor, or...
I'm looking for the best guess on which one to buy,.. or another solution.

Thanks for the reply,

The van is a 2002 and the Fuel milage seems about normal.
I googled TPS and it says the TPS if not working correctly would use a lot more fuel.

Kangarooing, rough idle, black exhaust fumes

I would start with a complete tune-up then if its running rich(black smoke) need to fix the problem like new air filter(s) and such do a compression test of each cylinder (one at a time) and see if readings all come close..may have burnt valves or blown head gasket also look at vacuum systems and see if any hoses are off missing or broken repost on this please thanks...
