Signal/Dashboard/Brake Lights Are Out! 2005 Toyota Corolla S

2005 Toyota Corolla S
Plugged A 3157 Bulb Into A 3157A Socket..

Signal Lights Are All Out.
No Hazards. No Nothing.
Dash Board And All Other Instrument Lights Are Out.
Brake Lights Only Light Up When I Brake.
[No Good For Driving At Night.]

What Do I Do? How Do I Fix This?
Is It A Burnt Fuse?

  • Anonymous Jan 23, 2010

I've Pulled Out Ever Fuse And Checked Them All.
Its All Good. Would It Be A Relay?
My Headlights Work And My Brake Light Works When I Brake.

    Also My Clock Got Reset.
My Seatbelt Beeping Alarm Was Off n Now Is On..

I Can't Afford To Take This To A Dealer.
I Really Dont Wanna Get Robbed By Them.

Most likely a fuse is bad, get out your owners manual and see which one powers the lights. Buy a good test light and it will help you the rest of your mechanic career. Then you can test the fuses without pulling them out to look at them, and test them electrically. first to confirm they are indeed getting power and then that they are good.

2005 buick rendezvous left brakelight will stop working after driving for about 10/15 minutes.have replaced bulb and checked fuses now it doesn't work at all

I would suspect a bad socket, this type that use the push in bulbs,(like a 3057 and 3157) are known for bad contact even if it looks good. Try to wiggle the bulb to see if it lights up, if so replace the socket. Hope this helps and good luck.

When I turn my lights on, the brake lights stay on even the third brake light. When I turn the lights off and hit the brake pedal the dash lights come on.

ck the bulbs, have any bulbs been replaced recently, could have the wrong bulb installed in the brake light socket.

Brake lights not working, but middle brake light works.

Try cleaning the contacts with a wire brush if they appear dirty and then apply a small amount of silicone to the bulb contacts also try replacing the bulb as sometimes they don't appear to be blown but are

you need to check the bulbs.
