A bad fuel pressure regulator is letting too much fuel into the throttle body. Good luck dont forget to rate.

Have you got good spark and fuel pressure when it acts up or quits?
Is it dead now or just acting up?

Pull the throtle body and replace the base gasket to start with.
Clear codes and see what comes back.

Check fuel pressure when it quits.
Post back fuel pressure readings.

2004 chevy can spark plugs cause scanner to read tps on a 6.0 l gas 2004 chevy silverado

It shouldn't. The TPS sensor is voltage based on throttle position. If the plugs are bad, you should get a separate cylinder misfire code only. If you are getting a TPS code, it is likely the TPS. Remember too, it is an electronic TPS, so there is a sensor on the accelerator pedal assembly that it talks to. Make sure that's plugged in. What you can do is with the vehicle in the on position (not running) - push the pedal all the way to the floor a few times. Also, clean out the throttle body and ensure there is no gunk preventing the throttle body from opening smoothly and all the way. Good Luck.

I have a 1992 chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 while driving at normal speed it shifts in and out of overdrive

on the trans kickdown cable up at the throttle body the cable has a piece thatcan be pryed out with a small flat screwdriver.release it the cable should slack then push it back down to lock it. now get in the truck and push the throtle pedal to the floor. this should readjust the cable pull.

1999 chevy silverado throttle very sensitive when you press the accelerator pedal.

This would fall under driver "perception" and I would not even suggest that there is a fix if there is a real problem. Please have a GM service tech drive the truck and see what he thinks

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak. When the engine is cold the leak is there but as the engine warms up the parts start to expand thus closing the gaps and sealing the leak. I had this problem on my personal vehicle and it turned out to be lower intake gaskets.

1994 Ford Probe GT - Uncontrollable Revving

ok, this is simple to do but I would get the Chilton for your car so you can have pictures of what to do. You can get the chilton at the parts store, or the library. It sounds like a throtle body sensor or the throtle body itself, but could also be your air idle control sensor. go down and buy some mass air flow sensor cleaner and a BIG can of carb cleaner. First clean the mass air flow sensor neer the air filter. then remove the throtle body it is held in by 4 botls and you may need a new gasket, NO GASKET GLUE. Now take that big old can of carb cleaner and start cleaning in and out. also down into manifold. clean everything. Now put it back together, remember 4 bolts and no gasket glue. if the problem continues replace the throtle body sensor. and then the idle air intake. It will be cheaper to take it into the part store and have them put it on the computer. They can often tell you what sensor it is ahead of all this but don't let this stop you from cleaning out the throtle body, it will make your car run better and longer.
