Park Pilot problem!

Hi, I have a Mazda 6 that was fitted with a Park Pilot. It has recently stopped working.... just making a continuous beep when in reverse. I have cleaned the reverse sensors with no joy... can you supply me with fitting instructions at all so I can check all conections please? I read up how to use diagnostic mode but cant make out what the beep/light sequences mean!

Thanks, Justin.

SOURCE: My mazda error codes P0300 and P0302 what does this mean!!!

I would recommend joining on line the RX8 owners club which there is a vast knowledge bank and the people there will be able to steer you in the right direction. With what I have read on the forum it may be your coil packs as these have been common to fail. But beware failure of the coil packs can also damage your cat so may be worth an emmisions test as well. Hope this helps

SOURCE: mazda 6 reverse lights

ITS POSSIBLE THAT YOUR REVERSE LIGHT SWITCH IS FAULTY BEST WAY TO FIND OUT IS TO DISCONNECT REVERSE SWITCH AT G/BOX & BRIDGE OUT CONNECTIONS WITH IGN ON & IN REVERSE LIGHTS SHOULD GO ON IF THEY DO THEN ITS YOUR SWITCH.

SOURCE: 03 Mazda 6: Check engine light on, code po174

The oil pressure sensor does not have much to do with the P0174 code so the leak on the gasket is not the cause, usually it is the air mass sensor, or the intake sensor. if you have a leak of oil, this might as well mean that whoever changed the oil did not put the right specs of it and this caused the oil to get through. After some time you will experience that the rpms will reach only certain level and won't go higher. Change oil to the right specs and get the sensor cleaned if not to late or replaced (will be expensive). Gasket change wil be needed as well.

We recently purchase a 2005 kia sedona and when put in reverse it beeps sometimes continued beep till put in drive( no back up camera) can anyone tell me if this is normal or why it does this?

talk with a service centre but it would not be unusual for the vehicle to have a reversing alarm fitted especially if the alarm stops on selecting forward gears

first i would open my side panels and fuse boxes to make sure it is all dry , take it from there it sounds like moisture problem in one of the relays or controllers

Still Rough Idle After Battery Disconnect

The first thing to do is not set up the idle speed, but to set the Idle mixture screw to lean best idle setting. First, turn in the mixture screw until the engine dies or runs worse, then back out the screw (recommend turning ¼ to ½ turn at a time). The engine should pick up speed and begin to smooth out.

The battery has nothing to do with the idle speed

Why are the door locks lof my 2004 mazda 6 ocking and unlocking on their own?

If they lock after you start to drive forward...and automatically unlock when you stop and place gear shift in park...that is a safety design...Many car builders use this, with certain variables as to when to auto lock, and auto unlock...if the locks are working on there own after you have started driving...that is another problem. Your owners manual should address how the locks in your Mazda 6 are designed to work. Hope this helps.

1994 MX6

I had a similar problem when I had my car boosted when I left my lights on. Even though I had turned my lights off the chime alerting me my lights were on would continue to chime even with the lights off AND the car turned off. I was concerned it would drain my battery again, so I took it to Mazda and they just unhooked the power to that chime. It stopped it from beeping all the time, but now I have to remember to turn the lights off.

Note... there are actually 2 chimes that I know of. I was quite surprised one day to hear the chime again - then I realized it was because my keys were in the ignition.
