You can just try taking off the steering cowl and unscrewing the black cap (multifuntion switch/ignition switch) what about the steering lock?
If you have lost the keys forever then you may as well drill out the lock? youll have to buy a new ignition barell anyway.....
It's likely the car is immobilised though, it needs the proper key! although sometimes the immobiliser is disabled, sometimes it works sometimes it dosent...
good luck!

Lock tumblers may be worn out,, or key may just have a sharp edge or burr on it,, ( if you recently got a key makde ) work it out if you can and have the shop the cut the key run it on the deburring wheel again

I lost my keys to my 1998 buick regal and don't have an extra. I got into my car, but I need to move it. How do I go about doing this?

You'll probably need to call a locksmith or a local shop and have the lock cylinder replaced to get a key. Some locksmiths will come to your car, saving you the money of having it towed to a shop.

Lost the key to my 1999 buick regal ignition and need to know where to look on my car to get the key code for a new key. i was told that it was in the glove compartment but not sure if i have the right...

You should be able to get a new key with the VIN (the set of letters and numbers usually in the driver side end of the dashboard near the windscreen).

Lost keys

the short answer is no, u need the original key to cut the correct new one with the correct value to signal the security system to let you start the car, u can have a key cut that will turn the ignition on but the car will not start. The dealer needs to do this for you, as a reprogram of the security system is needed.

How do I replace the ignition (keys's lost) in the steering?

did u get a key that was the proper code? these keys have a little piece of resistive wire embedded in the key, does the key u had made have that? if not it will not work, u can't just get a key cut, they have numbers to select the proper resistance value for the key to work with your security system.
