C240 sport. I was driving this morning when I lost the power steering and my battery light has come on. Anyone have any ideas?

If you knew how vehicles work then maybe
does belt drive alternator ? (charges battery ! )
does belt drive cooling fan in back of radiator ?
does the belt drive the power steering hydraulic pump ?

probably find that the drive belt is missing as it drives both the alternator and power steering pump.

Your alternator has stopped charging the battery. Have the alternator replaced or the cables checked immediately. Don't drive the car if possible cause it will quit driving eventually.

reach up from under the truck right in front of the grill you can see the hood cable just pull it

Water pump frozed and took the belt out lost alternator lost power steering. youll have to two it for repair. hopefully it was just a belt.

Check your belts. Sounds like something failed and either threw the belt or or the belt broke.

Sounds like your belt broke or came off. If the power steering quit working too. The belt runs power steering, alternator, A/C unless it is different belt. Have you looked under the hood at all? If it turns out that it isn't that. Then check all of the connections on the battery and alternator. Check fuses for charging system.

Sounds like the serpintine belt that turns your power steering pump has broken or came off of the pulley.

You should see the problem when you open the hood.

Your belt broke replace it and chage the battery then drive to a auto parts store and have it tested.

CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR CAR HAS ALL THE BELTS. I THING YOU LOSE SOME BELTS.ALTERNATER BELT AND POWER STEERING BELT
