Yes its a dealer only job ,could be a problem with the door lock drivers side sticking on the mechanism inside the door ,or the electronics.could just need lubricating inside the door or the computer on it

Hi. If you remove the back seat, the door pad can then be removed, lokk at the rhs one to see where the bottom screw is, this can be removed with a long t20 torx driver. Once in the door pad, remove the windows ancillery carrier, you can then break the door lock from the inside of the door.

i have a problem with my VW Bora 2002 ,2.0 engine .
i drove home last night and today the lights did not switch on , no indicators , no wipers and no AC
but the hazzard lights go on and the head light or brights.
it drives normall , I did check the fuses all of them looks good.
any one can help?
Synchronization When Key buttons operated repeatedly while vehicle out of range and system becomes inoperative. How Polo: Press key unlock button for approximately 1 second. Switch ignition ON. Insert key to be programmed into driver's door lock. Lock vehicle manually. Press lock or unlock button. Wait at least 1 second. Press lock or unlock button again. Do the interior lights come on when you open the door (and you have the lights set to do that)? If they do not, the open door switch has gone bad and the car does not know you opened the door, that's why it locks itself. When all your hoses are hot I want you to check the heater hoses near the fire wall. Are those 2 hoses equally hot? If not you may have a blocked or leaking heater core. Also make sure the flaps are moving to open the vent that allows the hot air passage to open.
