Hi, my car radio is off ( Mitsubishi challenger 2004) I've got a code, but cannot enter it because the car radio is off. I already unplugged the battery to reset the system but still not working. Anyone know how to unlock it, without a code ?
thanks
The code is usually on a sticker on the side of your radio or the side of the glove box. sOME TIMES THEY WILL PUT ONE OF THE STICKERS IN YOUR OWNERS MANUAL ALSO Good Luck
Hi,
Before pulling out the old battery, you should write down the code of your radio so that when you install the new battery the radio will be asking for the operation code.
Replacing battery for that model should be less than 5 minutes to install new one, otherwise everything will be reset.
Hope that helps you out!
thanks for using Fixya!
Hi:
You need to get your radio security code from your Honda dealership service department. this is an antitheft code, to keep crooks from reselling stolen radios, so if you go to the dealer, and provide the VIN number of your Honda, they should be able to help you out!
The following shows how to quickly determine radio's serial number and recover radio code (if you lost your card). Takes less than 10 minutes. http://www.a2dvoices.com/realitycheck/porsche/index.html
