Write down the vehicle VIN call the Ford dealer where the car was purchased new from. Talk to the service advisor and ask them to look it up. They will have it.

It would ask for a code. Sounds like a blown fuse. You actually have 2 fuses that run the radio, one that is listed as Radio, and one that has a constant voltage on it. Look at Cigar lighter, or dome light, or some other fuse that would always have power on it.
When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect itagain, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your carradio. The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. Ifyou do not have this code you need to go to your Ford service centre andget them to enter this code for you.
Most of these cars have a theft protection on them so when you disconnected the battery its possible that it triped the theft protection . and if so there is a code to reset the radio, this code is usually in you owners manual and if not you will have to go to a dealer to have it done. just a thought, many ford I've had had the reset code written on the radio in permanent marker... about 40% of them have it written on by previous owner or fitter, since the radios were not super desirable and pretty unlikely to be nicked and really annoying when you removed the battery or blew a fuse. pull out the radio and look for a number.
