Need to check the signal to the fuel injectors. Use test light to confirm battery voltage to 1 wire and pulsing voltage on second wire (backprobed while connected. If this is good, make sure to measure the fuel pressure. If this is CPI (Central Point Injection), car will not start if fuel pressure is even 3psi below min.

1. Start with trying to start it on carb spray. You can use the cheap stuff. This is just to verify that your ignition system is up to snuff. (if it starts then your problem is fuel)

2. Using a noid test light (not a regular test light) to verify that you have power to the injector. If you have power and pressure replace fuel injector.

2007 Chevy Silverado Classic. Location of oil sending unit please?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

If you have a 4.3 or 5.7 Litre engine (Silverado Classic Body Style), it is mounted on the back of the intake manifold in a brass fitting just under where the fuel lines come up from the transmission bell housing.

1999 chevy silverado 5.3 starts then dies out

check to see if you can hear a loud sucking sound (air) going into the throttle body when the engine starts then dies. if you hear alot of air being sucked into the throttle body, replace the Coolant Temperature sensor located close to the thermostat housing on top of the intake manifold. If this $12.00 part goes bad, it will cause the same symptom you have described. You can check the sensor for correct reading by using a scan-tool.

1999 chevy silverado 5.7L 2wd truck would not start, could not hear the fuel pump, lifted truck bed and cked pump, i have power to pump, it appears that the fuel pump relay is working like it should, power...

did you check the fuel pressure? there is a sharder valve on the fuel rail to do this. i know you have to have a certain amount of pressure in order for it to run.i think on fuel injection its around 60 to 70 psi.and on throtle body is around 30 to50.psi. i also know if you run your truck low on fuel alot it will burn up the pump gas is what keeps pump cool. also you said you found a pluged filter witch over time will burn up the pump. hope this helps.
