Hi there!
My Mitsubishi Chariot Grandis 1999 model has suddenly SRS warning light on,I tried disconnected the battery overnight but still the same. Can you please let me know what's wrong with it.
Thanks & Regards
Jun
SRS is the air bag light, they randomly come on for no reason at all, I wish I could give you a solution but the only one is to get it put on a code machine and have them turn it off, the thing is it will most likely come back on down the road. Hate these lights on modern cars its just another thing to pay for when they go wrong.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
You may want to pick a mitsubishi chariot gearbox in the junkyard. They are perfect fit for your grandis, the only difference is they are from japan.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
the ecm does not have a battery to keep the CPU memory alive so by disconnecting the battery for such a long period , the cpu program is corrupted
try using a scan tool to reset the program
You say that it attempts but fails. If it turns over, at a normal speed and tries to start and doesn't, check that the fuel is good and new fuel. Not fuel that has been in the tank for a long time. Check the fuel filter to see if it is clogged, Check the fuel injectors to see if they are all spraying fuel and there is enough pressure in the fuel lines. Check fuel pump for proper fuel pressure. High mileage engines check for compression in each cylinder. Possible bad ignition wires or ignition timing is off. Has the engine been steam cleaned recently. Is there water in the fuel? This gives you some things to check. Good luck.
205 is the width in mm. 65 is the hight of the sidewall (.65x205=133.25mm)65 percent of the with. 15 is the diamater in inches of the rim (tire hole) for example if you keep the same rims 205 75 15 would be the same width but slightly taller. 215 65 15 is wider and taller as 65% of 215 is 139.75 millimeters. if you go to 16 or 17 inch rims u can get much bigger. the width of the tire must not rub on the insides of the fenders. the hight must not contact the top of fender taking in consideration the suspension. u can look for car clubs of that model and chat with the members.
