1. Ramps or jackstands (do not do this with only a jack)
2. Appropriate wrench to fit the drain plug
3. Filter wrench for your filter size (when you buy the filter you can decide which size you need - there are 2 sizes)
4. Drain Pan
5. Oil filter and Appropriate amount of oil (recc - 10W30)
6. Creeper for comfort if you prefer
7. A bundle of rags

The Change Oil reminder needs to be reset. This done as follows;
1. Turn key to RUN position, do not start engine
2. Fully depress and release the accelerator pedal three times within 5 seconds
3. Turn key to LOCK position.

I am trying to change the oil on my 2003 Envoy (4WD) and I can not locate the oil plug. Can you help?
Under the truck, directly below the engine, there is a square plastic cover with a quarter turn screw. Turn screw CCW and cover will release, it will pivot out of the way. The drain plug is right there.

That is strange. Do not rule out the possibility that you have a leak somewhere in the vehical. I would check this out immediately, or it is going to cost more in the long run. Check the oil pan and the ground where you park your vehical.
