1994 Mazda Protege, new battery, new alternator, wont charge

1994 Mazda Protege, new battery, new alternator, wires and connectors and the alternator still wont charge. Ive checked everything that i know of and it stills dies. When running the voltage reads 12.3 same as it is when its off so the alternator is not doing anything and its new, been tested and so is the battery.

You must have blown a master fuse or fusible link.

Refer to the maintenance manual.

this happens sometimes during a jump start or a direct short in the elect system.

Battery won't stay charged, it is brand new battery, alternator has been checked and it is good, blown BTN 60 watt fuse, on 1994 Mazda Protege.

The 60amp fuse probably is in the circuit between the alternator and the battery. Which would be why the battery is not getting charged.
Someone would need to check for a short in the wiring between the alternator and the battery.

2003 protege5 wont start unless jumped and dies after about 30 seconds.

Need to check battery condition first. Is it the original battery? If yes chances are it needs to be replaced. May have a dead cell or 2 & will not hold a charge. When it ran before this, was the check battery/charging light on? Also verify charging system is working correctly.

1993 Maz.Protege. New battery, new alternator,

you can take your vehicle to any service center or somewhere like auto zone or advanced auto they will either use an inductance ammeter to check for current flow (alternator charging) or a vat40 or similar machine which can check battery condition, starter (cranking draw),and your alternator if everthing checks out ok then you may have a poor or corroded battery connection, or your alternator may have a loose connection or a damaged wire. hope that helps

Not charging after new alternator and battery my 94 mazda protege has beeen through 3 alternators in 2 months and the battery and alternator are brand new, less than a week or two old and still not...

check for a big heavy fuse nearf the battery,i dont know if it has one?? iam a general mechanic not a mazada specialist, try this trick ? start engine and hold rpm at 1500,then disconnect battery and see if engine stops if it carries on running then altenator is working. If it carries on running then turn on all electrical thingys except the radio. If its still running ok then fault is elsewhere like a discharge overnight.

I need to figure out how to change the belt on a 1994 Mazda Protege alternator

GO HERE. It shows the procedure for changing out the complete alternator, but the belt procedure is in there also. You don't have to remove all the stuff mentioned in the instructions. Just loosen the alternator bolts, disconnect the electrical connector and remove and replace the belt. No big deal. Good luck.
