What is the color of the wire by the ignition for the fuel anable

A 2002 grand prix 3.8 liter has a fuel pump that is controlled by the PCM. The PCM supplies power to the fuel pump relay. That relay energizes and allows current to flow to the fuel pump.

Fuel pump relay working intermitently.

is the relay ok? i think what you are hearing could be 2 relays at the same time. i think the fuel relay works with another aluminium looking one. there's usually a few of them that are identical so you can swop to check.
